Curt and I are making plans for a big change in lifestyle. This summer we plan to tow our Jayco Baja pop-up tent camper and spend at least 3 months traveling around the U.S. and into Canada. We'll visit family and friends and see some of the places we've always wanted to see (or can't wait to see again). It will involve loss, of course. We will be leaving the beautiful Big Springs Ranch for Children outside of Leakey, Texas, where we have lived and loved the children and staff for 2-plus years. And I'll be leaving my beloved music students in Kerrville, as well as my favorite job ever--Assistant Music Director for Worship at Kerrville First United Methodist Church. But we will be returning...and we feel that with Curt in his 70's and me in my 60's, if we're ever going to do something adventurous like this, now is the time!
We have about 8 weeks to plan, pack, close out the jobs and activities we're involved in, and prepare for life on the road. So we'll keep this blog updated with our progress, as I get my feet wet in the blogging world and establish the habit of blogging. Thanks so much for joining us on the journey!
